American Institute of Physics


The American Institute of Physics (AIP) and its member societies publish more than one-quarter of the world’s research literature in all areas of physics including general physics, applied physics, chemical physics, geophysics, medical physics, nuclear physics, astronomy, electronics, engineering, instrument science, materials science, mathematics, optics, vacuum science, and acoustics.  AIP also distributes a number of Russian translation journals, giving the English-speaking scientific community access to current research from the countries of the former Soviet Union.  Chartered in 1931, AIP was established for the purpose of promoting the advancement and diffusion of the knowledge of physics and its application to human welfare.

The physics collection consists of 25 journals from AIP and its member societies.
