Ei Engineering Village 2
EiVillage II integrates a traditional online abstracting and indexing service with access to more than 10,000 website abstracts. These websites have been evaluated based upon their research value, technical content and relevant information. Also available through this service are online contacts to engineering consultants, and links to full-text articles from Elsevier ScienceDirect, the American Institute of Physics, and John Wiley & Sons.

EiVillage II includes the Compendex Plus database and Compendex backfiles to 1980. Compendex Plus contains over 9 million records from 1969 to the present with references and abstracts to over 5,000 journals, conferences and reports. Approximately 500,000 new records are added to the database annually from over 175 disciplines and major specialties within engineering. Compendex is updated weekly to ensure access to critical developments in your field.

ScienceDirect
ScienceDirect is a Web information source for scientific, technical and medical (STM) research that offers online access to more than 1,100 journals across 16 fields of science, including the social sciences. Extending the power of this collection are journals from a host of prestigious societies and STM publishers including, among others: CRC Press; ASM International; The Royal Society of Medicine, and; American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Additionally, Science Direct can now offer the ability to link from cited references within their own articles to the full text content of these articles located on other participating publisher's websites. For CSU libraries this means that direct and automatic linking can now occur between such providers as Academic Press and John Wiley whose databases ('IDEAL' and 'InterScience') are currently under systemwide contract with CSU-SEIR. Such linking will enhance the efficiency of browsing and will enable readers to gain access to logically related articles with one or two clicks.
