Lexis Nexis Academic Universe provides full access to newspapers,
news wires, television news transcripts, business trade journals,
medical journal, law journals, legal digests and court reports.
Laws, legal codes, patents, stock reports, corporate annual reports,
accounting information and industry reports can also be retrieved.
Coverage for most files starts between 1970 and 1985 and continue
to the present. Most are full text although some are only found
in summary form. Some legal materials (laws, court reporters, law
digests) date back to 1799. Legal information on the state, national
and international level can be retrieved.
Academic Universe
LexisNexis Academic Universe provides full access to newspapers,
news wires, and television news transcripts. It also contains bibliographical
and other reference sources.
Congressional Universe
Congressional Universe is a web version of their CD-ROM Congressional
Masterfile plus many full-text resources, such as the Congressional
Record, hearings testimony, bills, etc. and other indexing services
such as indexes to National Journal and Congress Daily. It connects
the user to indexes, abstracts and full text of primary documents
of national public policy and legislation. Its indexes and abstracts
go back to 1970. Other parts of the database cover various time
periods.
Current Issues
Current Issues Universe allows the user to browse the list of issues
available to find an article of interest.
Statistical Universe
Statistical Universe allows one to search the words that appear
in statistical tables. It also searches the table titles, as well
as subject descriptions and synonyms assigned to each table by LexisNexis
