Mergent Online is a modular product covering 10,000 public companies and their SEC filings and; 20,000 non-US companies (active and inactive) in rich detail; U.S. Company and International Company Archives offering full business descriptions and last available financial information for companies that were acquired, went bankrupt or were liquidated or merged out of existence from 1996 onward (1995 forward for non-US companies); U.S. and International Annual Reports featuring current and historical information on over 11,000 U.S. public companies (available in PDF and, all 20,000 companies listed in International Company Data; Factsheets Plus, presentation-quality, one-page summary equity reports (updated quarterly) on 1,500 NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ companies; Factsheets Express, one-page summary equity reports for 10,000 U.S. and Canadian companies; U.S. and International Earnings Estimates; Institutional Holdings and Insider Trades including information on the holdings of large institutions and the buying and selling of shares by companies’ officers and directors; Expanded Long-Term Debt including information on more than 10,000 U.S. companies with bond issue plus current ratings and historical rating changes from all three rating services (Moody’s, Fitch and S&P); Corporate Bond Portraits including ratings from the three services; Industry Reports from Asia Pacific, North America and Europe, and; Spreadsheet Link.

Academic Universe
LexisNexis Academic Universe provides full access to newspapers, news wires, and television news transcripts. It also contains bibliographical and other reference sources.

Congressional Universe
Congressional Universe is a web version of their CD-ROM Congressional Masterfile plus many full-text resources, such as the Congressional Record, hearings testimony, bills, etc. and other indexing services such as indexes to National Journal and Congress Daily. It connects the user to indexes, abstracts and full text of primary documents of national public policy and legislation. Its indexes and abstracts go back to 1970. Other parts of the database cover various time periods.

Current Issues
Current Issues Universe allows the user to browse the list of issues available to find an article of interest.

Statistical Universe
Statistical Universe allows one to search the words that appear in statistical tables. It also searches the table titles, as well as subject descriptions and synonyms assigned to each table by LexisNexis indexers.
